Last Thursday, Talent Resources hosted happy hour after work…just another day here at the office.
The TR team and our closest friends sipped on Teaologist cocktails to unwind after the long workday. The spiked, custom tea blends magically disguised the harsher flavors of alcohol. Each tea was brimming with antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins and minerals -needless to say, we got our day’s (perhaps week’s) worth of antioxidants. The cocktail flavors ranged from a savory ‘Bloody Maria’ to a light and sweet ‘First Kiss’.
Some guests in attendance were: NYC socialite and entrepreneur Andrea Horblitt, Rachel Messina and Frank Weil (Acadaca), Harry Rosenblum (Command PR), Matt Moncada and Todd O’Gara (Fluro Water), Nina Tsang (Entertainment News), Joey Hodges and Whitney Leipzig (Pop Chips), Desiree Rabuse (Joonbug), Cheryl Crowley (InTouch) and Nyerr Parham (Syndicate Media Group).

July 2,2011(Watermill,NY)– Talent Resources produced the Second Annual Polo Classic presented by Piaget over the weekend at a private residence in Watermill,NY. TR was thrilled that Nic Roldan was able to host the match– all event proceeds benefited Rally for Kids with Cancer, a charitable organization that Nic is directly involved with.
As guests arrived they were greeted by perfect weather, and a remarkable property owned by Michael Borricco. Over the course of the afternoon guests enjoyed a private polo match, silent auction, passed food provided by Rustic Roots, and custom cocktails provided by Voli Vodka and The Teaologist.
With a private polo match, silent auction, passed food and cocktails, and a beautiful sunset — the event was classic and chic with a modern flare.
June 14,2011(New York City)– Last night socialites,starlets, and the fashion savvy joined together to toast to NYC at the Rue New York City event. Rue New York City is an extension of Ruelala.com, and their new initiative includes offers of fashion,food, and art exclusive to New York City. The event was held at the newly renovated CO-OP food and beverage at The Hotel Rivington. In addition to chicken meatballs, spicy tuna rolls, and rock shrimp style was also being served on the Lower East Side on Tuesday evening.
As Rue New York is only available to the most discerning of New Yorkers, some familiar faces( and NYC residents) were in attendance to toast to New York and discuss where they Rue. As you’ll see below the TR team had some fun sharing where they Rue too. Guests included Kelly Bensimon, Kelly Rutherford, Shenae Grimes, Tinsley Mortimer, and Meeka Claxton.
May 7,2011– Spirits were high during day 2 of the Style Icon Gifting Suite as The Galt House buzzed with anticipation as to who would be leaving Churchill Downs with the title of “champion”. As guests sipped on Chambord, Woodford Reserve, and tea cocktails provided by The Teaologist the only names people cared about belonged to thoroughbreds.
The real highlight of the day came early in the afternoon when Style Icon President & CEO,Andre Wilson received a call from ESPN beauty Erin Andrews who was in the middle of a hat emergency. Just hours before the race was to begin Erin was hatless, and in dire need of the perfect topper to complete her race day look! Lucky for her Andre Wilson was able to track down one of the last hats available at The Galt House Hotel & Suites so that she could participate in the Derby’s timeless tradition of donning a hat at the track.
Other guests who stopped by The Style Icon Suite before the race included: Joey Fatone, Timy Daly, Lindsey Vonn, Bob Guiney,Mike Mills,Wayne Brady, Mike Mills,Daryl McDaniels, and Kerry Rhodes.
The TR team was so excited to be in Louisville for their first Derby that they entrusted local stylists from Lyndia R. Willis salon to help them look the part for the 137th Kentucky Derby– sadly they did not put their trust in “Animal Kingdom” and left Churchill Downs with empty pockets.
Tuesday March 15,2011– The TR Team traveled to Austin, TX earlier this week to join the guys from BroBible.com for their first ever SXSW event. BroBible.com partnered with Microsoft to host an evening ruled by sophistication,international intrigue,and intelligent gadgetry. Microsoft was there to launch their latest product; the Windows Phone 7 complete with XBox Live and Social Media capabilities…perfect for every bro on the go. ” From Austin With Love” was held at The Belmont which boasts multi-level indoor & outdoor spaces perfect for a music filled evening.
While most of the 2,000 attendees were there in support of the artists or frequent fliers of BroBible.com it was hard to ignore the many many distractions Microsoft and BroBible offered their guests. With everything from an interactive step & repeat to an old fashioned barber shop where the young men in attendance could get cleaned up it was hard to ignore the classic style that these two brands brought to Austin. The BroBible.com logo overlooked the party on a nearby office building and reminded us of the bat signal high in the sky. Guests were treated to Lonestar Beer & Pabst Blue Ribbon as they perused the latest in Windows Phones. As the evening went on those in attendance enjoyed performances by DJ RJD2, Hoodie Allen, and Chiddy Bang. Chiddy closed with his signature act, where he allows the audience to select phrases that he freestyles about; and also handed out brand new Windows Phone to his fans.
